University of Oklahoma's Gaylord College of Journalism & Mass Communication

The University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication turned to D3 LED to bring the façade of its main campus building to life with a state-of-the-art LED ribbon board — delivering broadcast-quality visuals and architectural finesse. The new 3.9 mm eXPress display replaces an outdated system with a full 4K-wide canvas capable of streaming live and recorded studio content alongside dynamic graphics.

Curved to follow the building’s natural lines and engineered to handle Oklahoma’s intense sunlight and four-season climate, the custom steel substructure crafted by D3 ensures durability without compromising design. The result: crisp, high-visibility imagery with excellent off-axis viewing and a powerful presence at the heart of campus, right across from the football stadium. With this installation, Gaylord gains a modern digital platform to engage students, visitors, and the broader OU community like never before.
